Lithium fluoride is an inorganic salt, which is a white powder or cubic crystal. Its chemical formula is LiF, and its molecular weight is 25.94. It is an alkali halide, white crystal at room temperature, slightly soluble in water.
The product is mainly used to prepare lithium hexafluorophosphate, the electrolyte of lithium ion battery, and also used in the ceramic industry, spectrometer, welding rod, prism manufacturing of X-ray monochromator, as well as as the carrier of value-added reaction. Additives for aluminum electrolysis and rare earth electrolysis, reduce the melting point and viscosity of electrolyte, and improve current efficiency; In ceramic industry, it is used to reduce kiln temperature and improve heat shock resistance, abrasion resistance and acid corrosion; At the same time, it is also used to produce various materials containing lithium fluoride single crystals, special optical instruments and lasers.
